Why didn't my AirSense 10 come with an SD card?
Is something missing from my order?
No. If your new ResMed AirSense 10 arrived with an empty SD card slot, your order is complete and your machine isn't faulty. From 01/07/2026, ResMed no longer includes an SD card in the box with AirSense 10 machines. The AirSense 11 has never shipped with one, so both models are now the same.
Why did ResMed make this change?
ResMed has pointed to rising global supply costs. Memory chips (the same kind used in SD cards) have become much more expensive over 2026, largely because manufacturers are prioritising chips for AI data centres. This is affecting prices across many electronics, not just CPAP equipment.
Does this affect my therapy?
Not at all. The SD card only stores data — it plays no part in delivering your therapy. Your machine runs exactly the same with or without one.
Do I need an SD card?
Most people don't. Your AirSense 10 sends your usage data to your clinician wirelessly, and you can track your nightly results in the myAir app.
You may want an SD card if:
- You like to review detailed therapy data yourself using software such as OSCAR or SleepHQ
- Your sleep physician or clinic has asked you to bring your SD card to appointments
Which SD card should I use?
ResMed recommends an SDHC card, 4GB minimum. A ResMed-branded card is the safest choice, as it's the only option covered by ResMed's performance guarantee. The ResMed AirSense 11 SD card also works in the AirSense 10.
If you buy a generic card, purchase from a reputable retailer. Counterfeit SD cards are common on online marketplaces and can fail to record data properly.
